Anthony Evans serves as president of Pure Healthcare, a first-of-its-kind care model for those facing complex medical conditions, multiple chronic illnesses, and quality-of-life issues. In this role, he has been leading the development of an innovative, sustainable, and valuable new healthcare offering for patients, families, referral partners, and payors. Anthony is dedicated to integrated health services and the care of individuals in our communities.

He brings a wealth of healthcare experience and leadership to his role. Before joining Pure Healthcare in early 2019, he served as chief operating officer for Senior Living at National Church Residences, one of the largest providers of affordable senior housing and integrated health services in the United States, with facilities in 26 states and Puerto Rico.  

Evans began his healthcare career in a hospital emergency department as a nationally certified paramedic, going on to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio University. He served in critical care units in the hospital setting and later as director of Nursing and owner/operator of Medicare-certified hospice and home-care agencies. He served for seven years as a chief operating officer for Ohio Department of Medicaid administered 1915c HCBS Waiver Programs, overseeing home-based care management services for more than 12,000 Medicaid waiver recipients across Ohio. His experience also includes expertise in managed care and payor operations, as he served for more than five years at CareSource as senior vice president of Integrated Care and Home Health Services.
